TSB RVU Engine Control Module Update (I3)

Don't be a source of misinformation....
I have had customers calling here telling me they heard from other companies that APR software cannot be flashed because of security lockout.
Security lockout, as defined on our website, "Prevents unauthorized personnel from accessing EMCS functions. The user may select any 1 to 4 digit security code. The security code is entered using the cruise control buttons."
It merely keeps people from using EMCS programs and options, not from reflashing the ECU. I don't know of any software for ME9 from any company on the market that prevents reflashing...

...elsewhere on your website it says:
"All APR chip upgrades use encryption, which serve several purposes. First, it keeps prying eyes out of our software and prevents lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the product. <b>Secondly, the encryption prevents the dealer from flash programming the ECU.</b>"
As a <i>very</i> satisfied APR customer, I must admit that last part has been a source of confusion for me.<ul><li><a href="http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_upgrade_b7a4.html"><Clicky></a></li></ul>
