Default Thanks: 2.0t acceleration lag/hesitation

Thanks everbody for the response to my post re: 2.0T acceleration hesitation or lag. I will try having the learning module erased, hopefully that will help. I dont have high expectations though, it sounds as if the problem is not unique to my car and that it is more likely poor engineering. Sad to think I paid that much to be unhappy with the car after only thirty days. While the car is not overly expensive it is not a Honda or Toyota either and one would expect Audi not to drop a car on the market with this type of problem. I was even hoping it was unigue to the 2.0T, at least I would have had the option to dump it for a V6 model but it soundslike it is an across the board type problem.

Hey, I live in San Francisco so you think you're annoyed? One of the great advantages my Saturn had (in addition to a sport shift option on the auto) was that it was very light and took off like a rocket. For the CVT, which I have, you should put into "manual" mode, gear 1, and when you've hit about 2k RPM, slide it back into normal mode or keep shifting if you want to have "fun". Works pretty well if you're on a hill. Not great, but all the other features and functions make this car quite worthwhile and a good decision not to replace the Saturn (which I wrecked).

Consider chipping/flashing the car?

I think the saying is something like that. What I mean is Audi has it 99% correct. So many amazing features. No car is going to be 100%. I have either gotten used to or the car has learned from me but the throttle hesistation is not a real big issue with me. My 2006 3.2 has very, very minor, if any hestitation compared to the 2003. I feel the CVT does add to the hestation problem. To minimize the hesistation start up in "tip" mode, gear 1, you will see what I mean. When you get rolling shift back over to D. Problem disappears! Yes it would be great if it did not exist but it really is not that bad. Let's be positive here and enjoy all the great features of this bad boy!

BTW I really love the CVT and I would have bought the 3.2 with CVT if it was available when I ordered the car back in April.
