Should I Sue Audi?

Sorry to hear about your fathers accident. You must be very happy to know he is okay despite what happened.
Sounds like the insurance company is going to take care of your dad. As this was a new car you would think any failure would be covered by warranty. Also, it seems like the roadside technicians did not properly diagnose the severity of the problem.
Although I am not a lawyer, based on what you describe, I think you could consult a lawyer. I am not one to sue, however if this was my dad I don't know how I would react.
Good luck and glad to hear no one got seriously hurt. Although you have a hate on for Audi (I understand given the circumstances) they are very safe cars and despite the flip perhaps this is one of the reasons why your father walked away.

Very good points. Thanks for your comprehensive analysis and response. One question - I thought that airbags had capacitors so that even in the case of loss of electrical power they can still deploy?

I doubt it but you could be right. If you disconnect the battery which is something you have...
To do when you work on the car especially when you work on the air bags (or the cars electronics), there is no juice going to the igniters to fire off the bags. This would leave me to believe that if you had a total loss of electrical power, the air bags would not deploy.

Well that is very good news, get the new car, and if your Dad is still not ahppy with Audi then he
can move on and have a 07 model to sell...
AoA suck bigtime, but you would have a very hard time in suing them.

My first thought was like yours, but my second was like DirtySoap's. Probably just stumbled on this
forum. He does say it's his Dad's car, so he wouldn't have had a reason to be here prior.
