Default Re: Thanks Scarps

I certainly weighed all options prior to placing my order. I have a tendency to 2nd guess on large purchase items. I often go for the best thinking "I got the best" and later on finding myself not utilizing any of the functionality of why it was the best. Our other car, a 2004 TT doesn't have Navi and yet it's a blast to drive. I don't miss having Navi in that car. I knew I wanted an A4 S-Line, Xenons and 6 spd manual and got those options. I'll take comfort that if I absolutely need to have Navi, it's out there.

Thanks.

Default I ended up with a...

2006 2.0tq S line, white with black and all of the things you were looking at including nav and it rocks! I've owned a 225 coupe in the past as well but I love my A4 with the mods.

Default You can definately change your order up to a certain point

I orginally didnt order with S-Line, but then I decided I'd be mad if I didn't get it. I was able to change my order in time

Default if you have honda standards maybe...

but for a first class interior like an audi, nothing beats OEM nav+

Default Re: pioneer avic-z1 is Not as good as stock RNS-E!

The RNS-E provides alot more integrated features over a 3rd party solution.

* Navigation directions on center cluster
* Integration with phone
* Use of SD cards for MP3s

Also, you will pay a lot less for the RNS-E if you purchase from someone on NavPlus.us forum. I would speak with Steve Diamond, he is the guy I purchased my last two Navi from.

Cheers,

Chuck

Well, just sent an email to my dealer (sales person) and asked if I could add the navi. Haven't heard back yet, so we'll see. I placed my order on 7/15 so I don't know if it has been built yet, I suspect not. Is it the end of Oct. yet???

Default Re: Update on 2007 Order from Dealer

Well, here's the update from the dealer. The car is almost complete and will be shipped in the next week or so. ETA on the delivery date has gone from 10/30 to 10/16. So, all in all, no navi.

Thanks for all that contributed info.

Super easy retrofit, I would not sweat it.
