Question on changing order -2007 S-Line 2.0T
<center><img src="http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/users/43d3b685z607ca524/a780scd/__sr_/8dcfscd.jpg?phgDh3EBk14UZHr0"></center><p>To all of you out there that may have done this recently:
I placed an order for a 2007 S-Line 2.0T and had decided not to get Navi or Bose. I'm not too concerned about Bose, but now I'm second guessing whether I should have opted for the Navi. I placed my deposit in July and have an approx. delivery date of 10/30. If I change anything on my original order, does this mean Audi will have to cancel my original order, pushing out my delivery further? Logically, this seems the case. I ask, because the process of adding in a factory RNS-E seems pretty straight forward, and could probably be done just as easily as installing the Symphony II. My original thought was to install an aftermarket, but after much research, I'm not too keen on having a fold out covering my two front ac vents.
Any advice - thanks.

It's worth asking, since the car probably hasn't been built yet...
I know people have changed some details of their order without issue. And seeing as it adds to the price of the car, I'm sure the dealer will be more than happy to accomodate you...

Thanks. well, worst case, I could always go for the Pioneer AVIC-Z1

Retrofit Nav+ yourself. 15 minutes DIY @ 3/4 the price.
The only thing you lose by DIY is the CD changer, but it's not needed since the SD slots will more than make up for it.<ul><li><a href="http://www.navplus.us/">All you need to know to retrofit Nav+</a></li></ul>

After years of aftermarket stereos, I'd say change the order to Nav if you can.
Feature-wise, the Z1 is richer, but I'm personally just sick of the so-so or nonexistant factory integration that is inherent in doing aftermarket head units. The look is never as clean as factory, you lose display functions in the cluster. It's just not worth it to me anymore personally. Having said that, if your dealer tells you the car has passed the point where you can change the order, then the Z1 might be worth considering. I'd still personally do the RNS-E for the factory integration aspects, but, again, the Z1 has some nice features and doesn't fold out.

Re: Question on changing order -2007 S-Line 2.0T
If you are second guessing your order specs I suggest that you contact your dealer immediately to see if you can indeed change your car. If your car is due in late October, then it will have been at the port since mid October and on a ship since the first week of Sept. Useing that timeline, it would have been in production since mid August - I'd say that it's too late to change your order. Otherwise, Audi nav is the only way to go IMO. I hope this helped you, but these questions really should be directed to your dealer - they're the ones that would know for sure.
