Default Just returned my 06 lease and picked up an 07 lease

Long story short my 06 A4Q MT Premium, Convenience was approaching 19000 miles on a 2Yr, 10K mile lease (452/mo, 1250 at signing) with six months to go

After discussing it with the dealer I decided to payoff the lease (2700) and lease an 07 A4Q MT Premium, Convenience and Tech (Blue tooth Xenons) with 15K miles, 3 years, 452/month 1250 at signing.

I debated this over and over, but it seemed like the best choice. The vehicle is leased under my Company.

Good deal?

Default What was your penalty for miles over 10K/year?

It sounded like you were going to go over by 6,000 miles?

Still, it sounds like it was not a terrible thing to do. If you done nothing, you would have paid the $2700 over the last six months, plus the overage.

You did go to a longer term (3yrs) for the same lease payment but with more miles per year and a more equipped car, so over the lease period, you will wind up paying $16,272.

Default Good deduction, yep I was thinking about 6000 miles over

So about $1500 in penalties,

I'm a little bummed that I couldn't find an S-Line at the time.

How do you like the A3? I was considering that instead of the A4.

Default Love it.

It's a bit more fun and tossable than the A4. DSG rocks. However, I wish I had gotten it with S-Line or sport suspension and the Nav, but I was impatient and just had to buy the first one at the dealer two years ago. Would have been nice if it had Quattro too, but not a deal breaker for me.

Still, after the APR on the B7, the A3 no longer holds a decisive performance advantage over the B7. Actually, the B7 is probably now as entertaining to drive as the A3 after the APR flash, even in Tip with paddles. (DSG still beats it, though.)

I may get the APR for the A3 to give it back the edge, but I wonder how I'd be able to keep all the extra power on the ground without Quattro on it. It's already too easy to break 'em loose as is, even with new tires.

It's nice having both.

Awesome - I had to have quattro and the 3.2 was pricing out to about 560/mo which I couldn't justify.

Might have been a different story if I'd actually driven it : )

Default Test drove the 3.2...

When we were looking to get the A4. Very nice. Very different character from the 2.0T for sure. But lease rates for it at stupid, for lack of a better term.

Default One thing I've learned about S Line....

I have it and love it, but it hurts your residual.

Some options are good for residual (like quattro), while others are not.

Yep. S-Line would have definitely added quite a bit to his monthly payments.
