Has anyone noticed that the shift to 2nd gear is really jerkey if you are not smooth as butter with the clutch? Not sure if this is just something I will have to get used to or it is the clutch or tranny. Any of you all notice that?

sometimes i end up pumping the clutch just a bit to make it more smooth if i do an *** job of shifting from first to second.

unless, like you said, you are "smooth as butter with the clutch". Some claim you can remedy this by switching to a higher grade tranny fluid like Motul or Redline, but I don't think it's ever been proven.

What I did notice is that when the AC is on the RPM's are a little higher which makes the transition a little better. I am also trying a higher octane gas. Maybe that will help. I don't like the, "You'll get used to it!" line.

my other manuals didn't have this, I think it's because of heavy car + 4 banger and not enough boost at low rpm
