... driving to work, the iPhone paired to the A4 lost sync about 5 minutes into the ride. Woke up the Phone, but still no sync. At a stop light, I turned off the ignition, took keys out, opened/closed doors, and restarted car. No Sync.

Then I cold-booted the iPhone. Bluetooth then paired again.

This device, as brilliant and stable as it is, has an obvious Bluetooth bug, not feature.

Version 1.0 hassles.

i am pretty close to getting an iphone regardless, but i'm worried about these BT pairing issues.

i don't think it's really an iphone issue as much as an audi BT issue. my cousin paired hers in her lexus in about 10 seconds and it works perfectly, no problems at all...

this sucks.

Have you tried having it plugged in and/or leave the phone on the whole time (no sleep mode)?

yes, but key things are missing from the first one... mainly 3G data connection

After applying yesterday's iPhone software update, this is no longer happening to me, even when the iPhone is not in a charger.
