Ok. So a buddy of mine got his K04 installed today and I was with him for the hr or so drive back. My very 1st thought was "umm, where is the oomph?" Maybe it's b/c the power is smooth that you don't feel it as much. It def. does pull all the way to redline w/ no prob.

I was expecting a more "put you back in your seat" type of power. But maybe I had a little more expectation b/c of the price. I know the ECU takes a little while to "adjust" so you get the full potential out of it so maybe it will be diff. the next time I am in the car.

OH, and the carbonio is pretty f'n loud.

Lots of people complain the S4 feels slow due to how linear the powerband is. I'd really like to see some numbers. Would be cool to compare to the chipped cars. cheers! Mike

I am gonna wait to see how he compares to our friends B6 S4. They did a few runs when he was just chipped and exhaust. So we will see the outcome this time.

Ya ya you can't compare it to a B6 S4 but it is just to see if it has closed the gap on it much at all or not.

including my car the one he is going to go up against. It is just hard to get a dyno apt on the weekend on the dyno we have been using so unless he takes a day off from work it might be a while before the graph goes up. However there should be a video of our run comming soon probably next week, or on the way down to the fest.

I just got off the phone with the person that has the K04, He was saying that it feels much better now then when he picked it up. I guess it takes a little bit longer to adapt, which I have been saying for a long time. Even though they drove about 50 miles home, he is now putting another 100 or so on the car, and he was telling me how much better the car is pulling.

I'm no doubt thinking the S4 will have more power but will be cool to see the powerbands and see just how different. Maybe an overlay of the K04 on the S4 and really see where the difference lie. cheers! mike
