All of a sudden my key fob stopped working. It won't lock or unlock doors, or release the trunk. I checked and even changed the battery. Then went through the resetting exercise as explained in the manual (even tried the process from a post not too long ago). Nothing works. What gives? Manual says to press the unlock button, put in the ignition, turn to position just short of cranking the engine, and then return to insert position, remove key and test. Nothing.

I feel it's a code issue since none of the fob functions work. The fob light is blinking like it should to show adequate battery life. This my only key fob, so please help me. I tried holding the unlock button as well to no avail.

Got it. In case anyone has a similar problem, I inserted and turned the key to the first click, where the controls are on (but not the engine). Held the unlock button for 10 seconds and released, THEN turned the key to start the car. That did it for some reason. I tried the way the manual described to no avail. Nice job Audi.

I will try that today. I am experiencing the same problem. The batteries are good but the fob is not functioning.. Hope this works today!! Thank You.
