Default How to bleed the windshield washer fluid reservoir?

I need to replace the crappy generic blue washer fluid from the dealer with Rain-X 2-in-1. Any suggestions?

Default Turkey baster?

Perhaps it's too deep and/or twisted to use one?

If you're not going to need the fluid, just use the fluid the normal way until it's empty

Default Shop-Vac, duct tape, and surgical tubing.

This is how I did it on my B5, haven't bothered on my B7.

Default It's not worth taking anything apart to find the disconnects...

just pull the stalk and use up whatever is in there if you don't want it to mix. Sometimes you have to take the simple approach.

Default Your dealer uses the blue stuff?......shame on them.

I've only had dealers fill mine up with the VAG alcohol based fluid.

Default Re: How to bleed the windshield washer fluid reservoir?

Sorry for the Newbie, barely on-topic question but... It's my first New England winter with my 2005 A4 and after our first snowstorm i found that the wipers were HORRIBLE. They turned into 2 big clubbed feet of ice dragging across the windshield. I put rain-X de-icer in the res and that helps a little. But when I called the dealer about getting some new wiper blades, they claimed that this was standard operating procedure for these wipers. Can this be true?
