Default First time getting Car tinted, what should I look for?

Today I am getting my car tinted and I have never gotten a vehicle tinted.

What sort of things should I look for?? The guy doing my tint comes highly recommended both by the dealership and everyone on the local audi forums. But I still want to know what to look for.

Thanks

Default What tint did you decide on?

Not much to look for other then maybe how close they can get to the edge of the windows (you want as close as possible obviously). Other than that I assume the tint you chose has a warranty and bubbling right after is common. That means you have to wait a few days for the condensation to work itself out anyway.

Default I am getting 35% on all but windshield

Michigan laws are pretty strict so I didnt want to go too dark.

The shop warranties the tint for as long as you own the car. He is supposed to be the best in Metro Detroit so I dont think I will have problems.

Default Cool... yeah you should be fine then...

if you have bubbles after more then a few days just bring it back and they should be able to work them out.

Default To add to that, don't freak out when you see your tinted car for the first time...

35% tint will look really dark for the first 3-5 days (more like 20%).

Default That's what I have, 35% all around and it's perfect for night and day driving.

Default Hey Kvan; Didn't realize you are in DTW...

Are you getting done @ Darren's shop?
Got my Clearbra done there and yes, A1 quality.

I too am contemplating 35% tint...
Let me know how it goes
