Default First snow in the B7...

After a year and a half, I finally got to drive the A4 in the snow this morning.

"Wow!!!" is all that comes to mind.

Regards,
Joel

Default time to change tires for me

well, after getting michelin pilot sport summers on the 07 i bought in sep, i've given up on them. i expected them to be bad in snow/ice, but i'm sliding all over the place in relatively innocuous conditions. yes, i know i should get winters, but i don't care enough about summer performance to carry two sets of five tires (and wheels). and no, i don't blame the pilot sports, since they are awesome for their intended purpose.

i should've known, but i don't remember the old dunlop sports on the 00 a4 being as bad, although i eventually swapped them out for all-seasons too. i would've taken the a/s option at purchase, but i didn't like the contis.

so out with the (new and almost new) pilot sport summers and in with a new set of pilot sport a/s. $1300-ish down the drain. will be posting in the classifieds eventually, for anyone interested in the chicago area.

First snow here as well. Love the drive except the d@mn tires suck (factory continentals). No $ for snow tires yet... -_-. Also I don't have a garage so it's a b!tch defrosting every morning.
