Feeling a draft after window replacement...
Truck tire blew out, taking my driver's window with it, some six months ago. I insisted on having dealer do the glass repair.
Now I'm feeling a draft through the arm rest and switches when the sunroof is open to vent.
So I'm wondering if there's some sort of barrier film that has to be compromised to service the driver's window, and whether the tech is supposed to replace any such films after opening up the door.
I don't recall feeling this draft before, and there doesn't seem to be a matching breeze coming through the right door.
Does anyone know what's inside the door?

Same here
There is a bit of air flowing out of the switches. Sunroof open, there's some additional air flow around the door also. It's pretty well normal as I've heard others with this also.

I didn't see any kind of film.
I had my driver's window replaced after a break in.
It was a small indie shop that replaced my glass and I was right there while they were doing it.
The guy was extremely conscientious and took his time. He spent a good 45 minutes just on glass cleanup and spent alot of time fitting the window properly.
He removed it once because he wasn't satisfied and started over again.
He spend a good 5-10 minutes working the seals flush.
I don't remember seeing any film in there.
I haven't noticed any air leakage.
I don't know if that's whether that's because I've just been lucky or because my tech did such a great job.

there is some air around the window switches
i just noticed this the other day as i was reaching for the switch and you could feel a little draft.
a little odd, but i guess it's normal. my car is only 4 months old and the windows are still the originals.
