LED Tail Lights
Hi there, one of my tail lights is out. It's the red one closest to the license plate and attached to the trunk, not the rear panel. I have a couple of questions, both of them so basic that I'm almost too embarrassed to ask:
1) The light that's out is actually the tail light, right? I know it's not the brake light, but if I'm looking for the correct replacement bulb, it's definitely gonna be listed as the "tail light" on the vendor's website, right?
2) I see that there are quite a few LED brake/tail/signal light replacement fixtures on the web. I'm not interested in spending $300-$400 on an entire fixture, but I would prefer to buy an LED bulb instead of the standard incandescent. Unfortunately, I keep reading warning messages about error codes and load capacitors on the vendors' websites, and can't figure out if that's a problem with B7 or not. Is it?
What do you geniuses know about this? Any bulbs you've tried and are satisfied with? I should say in advance that I'm not the least bit interested in trying to make my car look sportier or more bad ***; just want a reliable and functional replacement lamp that I won't have to change ever again. As long as I'm changing what I believe to be the tail light, I'll probably buy and change new brake/signal lights, too.
Many thanks in advance!
