Default Does anyone want to take over my lease?

As much as it pains me to get rid of my car, I feel I must conserve money any way possible.

Car details:

2005.5 A4 2.0T Quattro Sedan
- Gray / Black
- 6 speed Manual
- Premium Package
- Cold Weather Package
- Lighting Package
- BOSE Premium Sound
- 17" 5 spoke Wheels
- Navigation Plus

The vehicle is in EXCELLENT condition. There is not a scratch or any blemish with the exterior. The tires have lots of tread left (I run separate snow tires in the winter). One wheel has a small gouge in it. The interior is immaculate. The car has both regular and winter floor mats.

Lease details:

This is a standard lease through AFS. It began August '05 and matures August '08. There are approximately 19 months left on the lease and approx 23k miles left on the lease.

The payment is $462 + your state's sales tax (MA is 5% making a total payment $485). The car is located in Central MA.

You are not required to buy the car at the end of the lease. If you choose to, the buyout is $21,767.

The only other fees you would incur are:

$100 AFS transfer fee
$70 (approx) State registration
$25 credit report

This is my 3rd Audi, by far my absolute favorite. It pains me to give this up, but I have to look at the future. It's time for me to 'grow up' and put the money towards more important things like buying a house and investing in the future.

Please e-mail me if you have any interest in this car. I can be flexible with location, and can answer any additional questions you may have.

Default Try swapalease.com

You're going to have to put an incentive on it though as better terms can be had on a new lease. Good luck.

Default You won't regret this decision, but maybe wait till the lease is over?

I sold my prized 03 cobra to buy a house, set my sights on a new Audi, drove a POS 93 accord for 3 months and got the audi.

Sometimes, being willing to give up things now will allow you to gain more in the future.

I'd still be careful letting somone sub your lease, you will still be responsible and have your credit tied up (and at the whim of the new owner).

Default Re: Try swapalease.com

I looked into both swapalease and leasetrader. They are similar in features. If I have to go that route I will, but I figured I would try audiworld and craigslist first.

You really think I need to add an incentive? I figured I have 2 things going for me - the fact that the miles are very acceptable if not higher than normal (whereas most leases you find on those sites people are in serious mileage trouble) and the fact that my payment was good in relationship to the amount of car being offered.

Sure $485 is a lot for an A4, but not a $39k A4. Am I wrong? Plus this is basically a less than $300 down lease, vs. a new lease which will probably run you over $1k.
