Default Did I break my throttle pedal?

<center><img src="http://byjack.com/a4/IMG_8226.jpg"></center><p>
I punched the accelerator quite hard today, and felt it bottoming out, now it looks like the pedal sinked in too deep. Am I imagining things or did I just break it?

In order to have the Accelerator and break pedal at the same height. the break pedal has to be completely pressed in.

Am I seeing a problem that isn't there?

If it does look abnormal any quick way of fixing it?

Default Dont mess with this...take it to a dealer asap.

I use to be a service advisor at an Audi dealer..I would not mess with this.

Default Looks fine to me.

Audi gas pedals sit significantly deeper in the footwell than the brake pedals as an extra measure to counter the image of unintended acceleration, which was proven to be false to begin with. This way it's very hard to *accidently* hit the gas pedal when going for the brake pedal in a panic.

I think you're right, I gave it a closer inspection and nothing seems to be loose. The metal bracket looks solid, however every time I put my foot on the pedal it doesn't feel right, like as if it's a bit further.

Has anyone ever broken a pedal in an Audi? Would it be even possible? Considering the plastic pedals aren't as sturdy as the good old metal ones.

Default Big problem -- the clutch seems to be missing...

In all seriousness, if the pedal doesn't feel right, then take it to the dealer ASAP. Whether you have a problem, I don't know, but this isn't something to play guessing games about.

And remember -- the price of admission includes a warranty, so use it.
