Called Audi about Bose issue!
also see this thread: https://forums.audiworld.com/a4b7/msgs/34351.phtml
apparently my car is not equipped with the bose even though it is specifically listed on my window sticker as "premium Bose sound system". When I call audi consumer care to sort out this whole mess and either demand a refund or some sort of compensation, the representative found the issue "very peculiar." She told me that if I have xm radio and nav plus(which I do), then my car would have bose.
Let's reiterate:
I have nav and xm radio
Window sticker states premium Bose sound $1000
No Bose upon boot up or on speaker grills
Audi care now confirms I do not have Bose
When I first called the dealership, the guy told me he has never heard of an issue like this in the 10 years he has been there. Consumer care said they have to research the issue and will be getting back to me tommorrow. I am keeping original window sticker and documentation very safe for any proof needed. Do you think they will order me a new car? I bought the car new in october and have about 6500 mi on it. Obviously having the dealer change anything on the audio would be out of question as it would void the warranty. Since this seems like such a rare issue I dont see it out of the realm of possibility to get a new car. Any thoughts or comments?

My guess is they can swap out the speakers for the bose models
I am sure the wiring is the same.
I think the radio can be reprogrammed to do the Bose.

Dealer installing the speakers/amps will NOT void your warranty
Heck, I had an A4 replaced by the dealer and put in the cloth sport seats, door panels and arm rest from one 2001 A4 into another, no warranty issue

I can't imagine them replacing the car after 5 months and 6,500 miles but....
I'd sure expect to get that $1000 back at the very least.
I don't know if they can retrofit the OEM Bose system.
I seem to remember a few folks having this issue about 6 months ago.
Maybe one of them can let you know how AOA resolved it for them.

I remember this coming up in October at the dealer here.
Audi was going to compensate the buyers of the cars that had the incorrect Monroney (window sticker) and have the buyers sign a document that says they were compensated for the missing Bose.
To be honest, you really could get a new car out of it. If there is something listed on the Monroney that is not on the car, federal law would make Audi re-purchase the car from you. I've seen it happen before over EXTREMELY minor mistakes on the Monroney.
I'm assuming you are the original purchaser of the car, otherwise none of this would apply.
Of course, if you want to go that direction it's best to consult an attorney.

There was even an alert sent to dealers about this. Mine is the same. NAV and XM, no bose....
I purposely tried to find one that way. Audi even sent out new window stickers for these cars once they caught it. They reduced the price to $350. Send them this picture...

Same story here too
I ordered my car with Bose and XM. Then I started reading on AW that cars were being delivered without Bose and just XM. So I asked my salesguy about it and he said he didnt know anything about it. Well sure enough when the car came in it had XM but no Bose. But just as with your car I only paid $350 for the XM. Therefore its a little harder to complain about since I never actually paid for the Bose. Regardless of what people say about the Bose system and regardless of the price I really wish I had it. My B6 had it and frankly I think the stock system sucks in comparison. I have a feeling that trying to get Audi to fix anything is just going to lead to a dead end. Ive considered aftermarket upgrades but havent had time to seriously look into it.

Agreed... it would be covered if audi OK'd it for the dealer to do
And being as it would probably run 5grand plus to do with off the self parts after being built it would not be something a dealer would touch without audi approval.
