Does DSG add anything to how much power is transferred to the ground?

Default I don't see how it would.

It's essentially a direct mechanical connection (just like a manual) through one of two clutches.

As far as I can brainstorm it, there would be no more energy lost through a DSG than a manual. Since you don't have the clutch sitting in the center of the car, however, I'm guessing there's a slightly more complicated route from each clutch to the rest of the tranny/drivetrain bits and pieces.

If there's any difference between DSG/6sp DTL, I'd guess that it's very small.

They advertise in bhp, not whp. DT loss is corrected for so FWD/AWD is not an issue.
