Hmm. Sorry it's not going well. I'm out of guesses (educated variety).

Your local VW shop will know what to do. The GTI of the same era uses the same engine. There has to be loads of VW and independent VW shops in your neighborhood. Call and ask first. Explain the problem carefully, you should be able to gauge by the shop's comments whether they are well versed or just a bunch of yokels.

Maybe it's time to replace that N75 'Wastegate' valve.

Changed the N75 twice. Both are OEM. My buddy who moved out of state seems convinced its a boost leak. Going to try boost testing again

Something in the intake? Air filter collapsed?

I had a bike do this same thing one time. Drove me batty for a while. Started fine but dogged out with moderate throttle. I was stumped. Come to find out the intake filter had sucked in a Payday candy wrapper. Yep.

No, nothing obstructing intake. Finally found a good shop by me. Had them diagnose. Ended up being that the wastegate is stuck and won't actuate. They recommend me changing the turbo. Now I am looking for one. Looking around for a K04 aswell, but not sure which years and model I should look for that will fit the best. Will keep you posted when I swap it
