2006 B7 2.0T HELP!
Hello. Just did the cam chain on my A4 2.0 fsi quattro. Broke the boost solenoid when hand turning the engine over. Didnt notice until driving when it caused an overboost and all hell has broken loose. Changed solenoid and had a boost leak. changed DV, PCV, And still a leak. pulled and capped intake hose right before throttle body to test. Found a leak and addressed that. Pumped it up again, and it held zero pressure. Only pumped to about 12 psi the first time. Started it up and tons of smoke from exhaust. No smoke now but running funny. Still getting P0299 and only building to about 8 psi max. Oil cap is also suctioning pretty good and seems to run like **** when I pull the cap while running. I am losing my mind and really need some help. I dont know if anyone is local to or near Fraser MI but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You need to say what model year this vehicle is, and what engine code this engine is. Model year is 10th character in the VIN. If the engine code (three letters) is not on a sticker on the upper timing cover, just provide the full first 10 chars of the VIN.

Lewis, did you put the in right PCV?
There was a redesign of the PCV system, mid year 2006 so it is possible to put in the wrong PCV. True. Depends on Vin number. Check your vin no. against the two PCV's listed for the 2006 on the ESC Tuning web site.
Good luck.

I'd check that boost control solenoid again. The little plastic connector spigots are FRAGILE, and that snake bundle of hoses go bad too. They crack and it's hard to see the tiny cracks. Haya....
BTW- a salvage yard is a good place to "go shopping " for small parts like that solenoid and hoses. Sometimes the counterman will not even charge for small items. I have done well at our two local LKQ yards. Yep.
