Hello,

I have a 08 a4 2.0t and I could use some help. When the car is driving down the road with gas very light the car's rpm's go up and down and I can hear the exhaust very similar when you let off the gas and hear a rumble. it seems higher the gear more the rpms jump. if i take the car of gear and very slowly rev it up to 3k it does not do it runs fine that i can hear/tell. Also if I give it more gas doesn't have to be alot 1/4 throttle while in drive(gear makes no difference) make it go over 2k rpms the rpms are fine and don't jump up and down. What are some possible causes for this? its just out of warranty hitting 100k miles.

I'd change your pcv, very well known problem for the 2.0t's. search around, ecstuning.com has some good pcv upgrades.

Is this an automatic or standard transmission?
