xenon headlights

Changing the bulb takes perhaps 10 minutes per side. The headlights need to come out, but that is not difficult if you have a Torx T-30 bit on the end of an extension. I use a 1/4" drive ratchet with about a 10" extension, the Torx bit in a 1/4" socket. There are four screws holding each headlight in; two above the light assembly (the obvious ones on the radiator support) and two on the lower surface where the headlight sits. Remove the upper screws, loosen (enough, you will know) but don't remove the lower two. The light assembly can then be pulled forward enough to disconnect the electrical connector, then moved to your bench. To get at the bulb module, remove two small Torx head screws and release a wire clip, allowing the access door to be opened. Inside you'll see the square metal module of the bulb, and a small electrical connector. Push off the connector, pull the bulb module straight out from it's springy retainer. Carefully put the new bulb in, and reverse the steps.
Note: On the passenger side, first remove the air intake duct (two screws). On the driver's side, the lower-outside screw is in a tight spot, which is why I use the small 1/4" drive extension and 1/4" socket to hold the Torx bit.
