My ECU is flashed with APR's software, and i'm sellin it before i trade the car in. But what is involved in doing so?? Can it be done without havin to go to the dealer?? I'm really confused on the process

personally would just turn in car with it unless you have a buyer lined up. i didnt think the used and modded ECU market was very large. i say just turn in car and say nothing....the next buyewr will get a treat. Used stuff never sells for what the sells wants...its what the market demands.

It's a huge PIA, the dealer must have access to both cars, to adapt the Immobilizer codes.

you need to adapt the cluster to the ECU as those are the 2 components to the car that control the car and is encrypted

change the ECU's around, plug in a vag-com, and go to channel 17 in the vag-com control and press login, type in the ECU pin, and whola, you're done

if you want to sell it to me i can walk you through the process on the phone.. with the ECU pin and a vag-com, it'll take about 5 minutes with the VAG-COM.. swapping the ECU out will take ~ 15 minutes

The PIN is the problem. How are you going to get that?
