Default Yeah. I had to tell the Advisor who took the test drive with me that I didn't buy a Kia

to make this kind of sound on a speed bump because he tried to shrug off the squeak. After I said this, he finally agreed to head back and have it looked by a Tech after what seemed like a test drive lasting eternity.

Default Okay, car is back.

1. Glove box lid replaced. P/N is 8E1-857-124-A-24A. Since it's still an "A" part number. I'm guessing this is still the original first version.

2. Front squeak - "lubricated all accessible bushings and suspension components." Nothing to say here. Will test drive the car tonight.

3. Brake fluid replaced. Yay!

* Will think about the peeling switches and might as well canvass price and do install myself in the future.

Default yay for getting things replaced! Question...where did you order the wiper blades?

Are they the same as the ones on the car, the aero ones?

I think last time I checked with the parts dept, it costs about $22 each blade. I haven't replaced mine since my 15k service (which they replaced for me under warranty). Starting to streak so they need to be replaced soon.

Default It's GDawgA4, my East Coast high mileage brother!

I don't think AoA brought out the dual wiper blades to the US. The Euro (Aero) version is around USD100.00 plus shipping from Vagparts.com and includes left and right aero wipers, aero arms and nut cover.

Haven't ordered, yet, as I only found out today they don't cover replacement. But will definitely order from above since I had good experience with them before. Shipping is sloooow though coming from Europe.

Default Check your air filter!!!!

I just hit 50k and have been on Audi's maintenance plan. I do oil and filters in between as well as plugs. Just checked the air filter...hasn't been changed since new. Found that it calls for it at 55k. Removed what resembled a birds nest from the pre-filter and approx. 1/4 cup of sand from just in front of the filter.
I also had "popping" from the front. I had a major alignment done as they had to do a sub-frame shift. This requires that they disconnect no fewer than 14 components and reattach. This will cause binding if it is not completely disconnected.

Default #3 is very very weak...

they have a design flaw and then they deny the repair. That's ridiculous!

Default Tnx, they replaced Air Filter last June at 35K service.

Regarding popping sound. Now I'm scared and will have nightmares. It's so hard to have them check something that they need proof before they even put it down on paper. So if it doesn't show up during our "joint" road test. Denied! So if there is a problem down the road after warranty due to popping - "what complaint? You never reported it to us. No proof on paper. See!" Mother@#$@#$!!!!

How did you have them do an alignment and a sub-frame shift? This is major work. They will not succumb to it on my car. They know I point out things a lot and probably when I walk to them their thinking "here's the obsessive-compulsive...blah blah...let's give him a harder time today."

Default Honestly I would pursue exactly how they justify that....

I'd go into the service managers office and make them call AoA in front of me on speaker phone.
