ugh, my car has a bad bearing in the drive shaft. the whole thing has to be replaced. :-((

Default Not for an Audi...BTDT! Got the T-shirt...

Thats why we look towards the BMW bearing to replace our Audi driveshaft support bearing ;o)

Unless you have rubber vulcanizing skills to R&R the center support bearing, as it is "encapsulated" in rubber, which is bonded to its outer metal mounting frame.

This has been an issue, going back to the 1980's, Audi 4000's! ;O)

Default I'll take a look-see at mine tomorrow....

as I will have me Audi up on a lift, and will be able to fully digest the B6 drive-shaft support bearing.

My monies on the BMW replacement. ;o)
