Saabs are nice, I've always like their exterior design. The interior is why I own an Audi.

Default I <3 Saab. The new 2008 9- is sick.

As a used car, for me it would need to be ~really~ clean with a known history. They had sludge problems a coupla years earlier that were corrected with a few PCV updates. Newer is better with them, but depreciation is steep. The 2.3 is much prefered, but guys w/the 2.0 Ecotec report great mpg, 34+ repeatedly. BriamWC from BitOG is a Mod at saabnet or one of those sites. I trust him a lot. If you want to ask him any questions, I can get his info or just post at bobistheoilguy.com "General Automotive". btw- since you got it already, oil service on them is to use only top-tier synth. I have a pic of some cut-open filters from Saab after using Auto-Rx, the filters have a lot of crumbleed coke in them. Consider using it. Search for some Saab oil pan pics that are on the web, it's like 2in of smooth tar.

Default Indeed. Great exterior design marred by very drab interior

I might've gone with 9-2 Aero, had it arrived in 2002. No regrets though after 5 years in A4. Still among the most beautiful interiors & exterior hasn't really aged.

Default normally id say dont do it - but if there is a good xtended warranty then sure

GM-era Saab reliability and quality is pretty poor.

Default Screw it, staying with the AUDI

after much thought and consideration and RESEARCH...i will go ahead and stay with my audi, even though i dont have extended warranty on this car, and the fact that i have never really had anything to crazy big in terms of problems on this car... i will go ahead and stay with it...

not to mention the interior of the SAAB really does turn me away...
