too much of a hassle. I can not keep updating playlists each time I add a new album or artist.
it takes forever to add songs, hell I couldn't even have a playlist for each artist.
it was OK at first, but trying to find a specific album is SUCH a hassle. Ugh.

I don't really navigate the stereo by myself when driving. the cupholder ...
rox for the passenger to navigate the ipod on a semi permanent basis.
why don't you just get an older ipod with a dead battery/drive and strap on a 3.5" HD in the glove box. you seen the dude that strapped a 3.5" drive onto an ipod? those old click-wheel generation ipods are great for this since you dont really need to take it with you, and if it dies its cheap.
throw it in the glovebox like your phatbox.

we have a spare gen 4 in the house
just laying around from when the GF bought a video.
and I'd need a cradle so I could navigate using the clickwheel, otherwise it sucks just like the pbox.
And with the cheapie OE adapter available...

playlist for each artist? there is an option to play just by artist btw
my problem is that my damn playlist is starting to get larger. About 70 playlists sofar. Have to keep clicking the < or > buttons to get to them.
I miss my pda.
PDA pros that phatbox can't do;
-choose/make a playlist on the fly
-has a repeat button
-plays some of my my video onto system. some old korean/chinese songs (yeah i know and I'm filipino
, that i don't feel like downloading.
-easy to sync or add songs.
-portable

-PDA limited to 8gb instead of my hacked 60gb phatbox
