Default wasn't there a post where s4 door blades keep your car clean because it stops the splashes from

hiting your body or something, like they actualy serve as purpose

Default a little more difficult here due to New England winters :( I would like to wash more often. (m)

I use to wash every weekend and stayed spotless but since winter hit, it's not as convenient to wash cuz the hose is packed up and the valve is shutoff and drained so it doesn't blow if it freezes.

Try to wash it weekly in self service bays but sometimes just can't get around to it in the winters.

Default yeah, I heard they were more of a problem on the B5's...not sure about the B6's tho....

I may put that clear tape material behind the splash guards before mounting them to protect the paint. Any idea where I can get that 3m like clear bra type tape in a roll?
