Default Slipping clutch

Hi, I have a 2004 A4 1.9tdi and have recently been experiancing what I can only think is the clutch slipping, revs blipping up with no increase in speed? I'm no mechanic so please bear with me.
My car has done 52000miles which to me is pretty early for a clutch to go, I don't exactly race it and its pretty gentle driving for the most part. My question is are there any adjustments that can be made to the clutch or is it a full replacement? Also any idea of cost?
Any help will be greatly received.

Default No adjustments can be made as far as I know. Clutch replacement (w/ a new DMFW)

Runs somewhere in the neighborhood of $1700USD. It sounds like it slipping, but there could be a leak or something that is causing fluid to leak onto the clutch surface.

Default I've got the same symptoms

I'm at 80k miles and I've mostly narrowed it down: whenever higher torque demands are placed on the engine, the RPMs will fly up and I'll get no measurable speed increase. Normally I would get turbo lag and then lots of acceleration - now I get lots of RPMs and poor accel.

Can this be anything else other than a worn clutch?

Any recommendations on the replacement?
