Default Rough transition from break to gas

Sometimes after I'm at a stop light or coming out of a parking spot, when I let go of the brake, I won't move. When I hit the gas I'll get a sudden jerk and then everything is good.

This doesn't happen all the time, but definitely doesn't seem right.

Any suggestions?

Quattro or not? If quattro, it has to be a tip.

My best advice is to get a VAGCOM download to see if there are any codes leading you to the problem.

So, it could be a CVT...which have a bad reputation for mechanically failing. The only thing to do is pull VAGCOM codes, see if that tells you anything. If not, afraid it could be the tranny itself.

02 3.0 did not have a cvt option as far as I know. This could be a bad tps (throttle position sensor) You can try to re-align the drive by wire system by doing the following. Put the ignition in the on position but do not start the car. Depress the gas pedal fully, then turn the key to the off position, let go of the gas pedal and remove the key. Wait 3 minutes and start the car. Sounds like voodoo but it may work.
