rear piston came out far along with brake fluid
As embarrassed as I am to admit it, I was in a hurry and allowed the piston in my rear caliper to come out further than is normally allowed with the pad in place. The caliper was mounted in place, but I had removed the pads, allowing the piston to push into the rotor while I was bleeding brakes. Fluid leaked out from around the piston dust cap.
I have only retracted the piston a little bit, but even if I do completely, I'm assuming that I should probably get a rebuilt caliper because brake fluid is now surrounding the piston.
Can someone confirm that I cannot just retract the piston using a clamp and bleed the brakes?
