Default Preparing for 80K self service, looking for info...

I looked over the maintenance schedule and it shows replacing plugs, air filter, pollen filter, oil&filter, and lots of checks. What is the OEM spark plug and is there some other(s) that I should consider? What else would be recommened at this mileage? I am apprehensive about just following the book. On my TT at 60K I found that the timing belt should REALLY be replaced, and the maintennace schedule says not until 105K.

TIA
Jack

Default Timing belt between 60-70k miles, the sooner the safer.

Stock spark plugs are NGK PFR6U-11G.
Stick with a factory air filter. Oil from K&N style filters ruin MAF sensors. Flush brake fluid every 2years regardless of mileage. I would recommend replacing the serpentine belt tensioner when you do the timing belt as I have seen many of these fail.

Avalon motorsports has performance and OEM parts. They have a ton of parts that aren't on their website, but here it is anyways:

Or just call them at 303-400-3001

I'm just outside of Burlington. There are two shops I know of that do a lot of Audi work, Washburns in Richmond and Snowfire in Waterbury. Washburns are good people but expensive. I have never used Snowfire but I have heard good things about them, farther away. I will probably try them next time (maybe for the timing belt) as they are supposed to be less expensive.

His post was on his DIY 60k service. He traded it in before he reached 70K I believe.
