In the OBD codes, it also says that it could be a faulty exhaust valve. So after a bit of reading, some suggested to use the Seafoam to clear the engine ...

What are your thoughts?

Problem fixed!

For those interested, I have fixed the misfiring problem by:

1- Changed the fuel filter
2- Change the sparks
3- Change the ignition coil
4- Cleaned the fuel injectors
5- Cleaned the throttle body and MAF
6- Seafoamed everything

I also brought the car to a local parts store and had them remove the engine error.

Now the car runs perfectly!!!

Thanks for the recommendations.

Cheers,

Hello,

Please can someone help us, we took our car to the garage to get the water hose at the back of the engine replaced, when we got the car back from them it was running rough and sputtering, we broke down on the A12 and the AA towed us home, when the AA guy hooked it up to the machine he got the error codes P0304 and P0638.

I woke up in the morning and thought I would have a look, I took the black plastic air pipe off of the air filter which is attached to the throttle housing to see if it was dirty I SAW A SCREW JAMMED IN BETWEEN THE THROTTLE HOUSING AND THE ROUND PLATE INSIDE THE THROTTLE HOUSING, SO WHAT I AM SAYING IS THEM IDIOT MECHANICS HAD DROPPED THE SCREW THAT HOLDS THE RADIATOR BOTTLE IN MY THROTTLE HOUSING AND JAMMED IT, COULD THIS CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THROTTLE HOUSING AS MY CAR RUNS ROUGH AND SPLUTTERS.

I have changed the ignition coils, spark plugs and the breather pipes and still this problem persists, and we get a big hissing noise when we turn the engine off, any suggestions would be great.

Thanx in advance

Hissing would indicate a vacuum leak. Am at work, so am not sure what lines would be running in the area you describe.

Default still can't find J271

I got this on spouse's B7;

2 Faults Found:
17925 - Power Supply Relay for ECU (J271 or J363): Electrical Malfunction
P1517 - 008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

it also told me J271 or J363 and they car won't start... any advice where these relays are?
