OT Poll: What do you have for a Personal Computer? Brand, Model, Processor, Memory, Hard Drive Size.
So after my 17" eMachines CRT monitor up and fried out on me and with a CPU that is older than my 5 year 8 month old B6 A4 I've decided I am going to bite the bullet and get a new PC for me and the family.
Just curious what everyone else he is running. I am leaning towards a Dell XPS 420 with an Intel Core 2 Quad Core processor, 3GB of Memory and either a 320 or 500 GB Hard Drive (I need space for all the pics of my Audi). Any thoughts which you wish to add I am all eyes and ears.

Dell, insp E510, P-D 3GHz, 3GB, 250GB
Radeon X300 video card.. weak but so far perfectly sufficient to do everything non-gamers need.
Is there a reason you want the XPS? It looks like you would be just as well served with an insp 530. ..with coupon code 9GL1S7F1C6$9LD (good till Mar 20)

love this little thing with its 12in widescreen. it literally has all the bells and whistles built-in:
* rotating screen/convertible tablet
* touchscreen
* bluetooth
* wireless-N
* webcam
* biometric (fingerprint) reader
* gigabit ethernet
* 5-in-1 memory card reader
* good and loud altec lansing speakers
the only thing lacking that i could think of is HDMI video out

What do you use your PC for?
Unless you use yours for lots of video encoding or professional 3D work on it, it may not be worthwhile to go for the quad. I myself would build my own Core 2 system, seeing how overclockerable these things are.
You seem to have omitted which video card you intend to put in, by the way
And the PC's I've got:
Biostar TA690G AM2, Athlon x2 4200+, Nvidia 7600GT, 2GB RAM, 500GB + 250GB HDD
Abit NF-M2, Athlon x2 3800+, onboard graphics (Nvidia 6100), 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD
Asus A8R-MVP, Athlon x2 4200+, 7800GT, 2GB RAM, 300GB + 2x 80GB HDD
Biostar 6100-939, Opteron 165, AMD HD2600 XT, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD
MSI K8NGM2-L, Opteron 144, onboard graphics (Nvidia 6100), 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD (started out as eMachine T6216)
Asus S5A, Pentium M 2.1 GHz, onboard graphics (Intel 915GM) 756MB RAM, 120GB HDD
