Default New R Coil Packs - Just Because?

Hello -

Has anyone just replaced their coilpacks with Rs - just because?

I have had no issues so far with mine - but have 4 new Rs on hand. Curious if there's any benefit to replacing them now... or don't break what aint fixed?

Cheers,
Chris

I have four "R's" waiting for install...but my "L's" seem to be doing just fine.

Default Raises hand ---->

I got 2 N and 2 L coils in my trunk just in case the R coils blow up.

Default the revisions are so subtle that it is almost the same part...

and i am 100% sure the R will fail in time as well. The pencil coil is a flawed design. I would def. stay with the ones you are running until a failure and replace with R's at that time. also i am of the thinking that the way they are placed/installed/handled into the slot relates to longevity, so i dont like to even touch them if it is not essential. I have replaced a few working older coils with new as prentative and had failures right away with the revised part. Made me wonder if the old would have gone longer without touching it.

Default I had 2 L's fail and replaced them with R's so I replace the other 2 and use the L's for spares

I rather run 4 of the same revision if possible but the car did run fine with 2 R's and 2 L's in it.
