GIAC and really like the added power it gives the 1.8t. It's just enough for me since i wont be racing or anything. Question is what else may i need to do with this software? I'm not a big fan of adding an exhaust and getting the loud noise and roar that really is not suited for an A4. I've searched and found out people adding intake, exhaust and more mods to tune it more. But i'm not sure if adding all these things is a must to make it all work or not? What i want to know is what else is a must for this software? Thanks for any help!!

Default If you're contemplating the stage 1 GIAC upgrade, at the very least you should change

your diverter valve. An exhaust is a good addition because it allows for better flow and it optimizes the power increase from the software. There are some exhausts out there that are not as loud. Search the forum archives.

Default Ditto what Turbo_Whip! said. Go with the 1+ file with the injectors

Its not too much more but it makes a lot of difference. And you should be fine with the stock exhaust if you're happy with how it sounds.

Default whether you go 1+ or just the 1, you should change your diverter valve...

stock valve is not made to support the extra boost you will get with the new software.
