How much weight can we save by installing a CF hood? I've heard 25-30 lbs. true?

its about 15 lbs, and i measured with a bathroom scale. this is a cf hood with a fiberglass frame

if you got one thats double sided CF, it might be 25 lbs

Audi's hood is pretty light as is though. Truthfully if you are looking to save weight don't go to your hood to do so, but rather to your seats or interior trimings. Look at the hood as a more aesthetic piece. I mean I personally love the CF look where as I know many do not. Besides seats id say spare tire, new bbk kits, wheels, and body kits (lack of) are really some of only ways to free up weight. Quttro makes the car quite heavy.
