Default How do I take the headlight assembly apart to clean the inside of the housing?

I have a fogging up issue every now and then and over time my housings are real cloudy. You can actually see water spots from where drops have dried up. It kills me every time I see another A4 with "clean" housings. Thanks. If nobody knows how, then I'm just going to tear them apart this weekend and either figure it out or break something. Thanks.

Default I did it to tail lights on my previous vehicle. PITA and ended up cracking one of the lights

However I have seen it performed perfectly.

Default Don't take them apart ...

Remove the lights and the bulbs, then lay them glass down on a towel covered table. Then pour some rubbing alcohol down onto the lens glass area inside the unit. If you need to, might also use a long Q-tip to scrub the lens. Then pour the alcohoil out and let the lens sit open for a few hours to let all residual alcohol evaporate out. Then reassemble.

I think that there should be drain holes at the bottom of the housing. You might check to see if these are open.
