Default maybe ,maybe not

depends on the full package. thats a lot of upfront$. look at the other equipment. in PA w/ 9%, thats a 327 lease. I got my loaded Ultra w/ tip for 399 incl tax w about the same down $. check the residual and money factor. here's a good link. also consider premier purchase.

http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm</a

Default yep...i'd never put out of pocket on a lease

i only put money down on my car cause it is a balloon purchase, and i'm actually buying my car as opposed to leasing...i just decided to structure my payments to make it easier on me while i'm paying off school loans...

Default my dad and i subscribe to the same belief on leases...

0 out of pocket on a lease, it's cool to put money down if you're actually buying the car though...money down on a lease is wasted money imho...you'll never get it back

Default for me

I try to do the 1k-2k to basically cover the taxes on a lease its not "money down" so to speak. and to make the monthly payment a little more manageable. by doing that it can make a payment of like 375 become 350 which can be easier to swallow month to month. just my .02

Default No-No.. Lot out of pocket, 10K/Yr, 42MO???..WTF??

Negotiate a better deal (specially on Price and Final Price, you got no control on the % rate) or wait 'till Feb05 or so if you still want the B6.

All you need to look for is a reduction of the total amount of money to finance, since the lease is only the "used" part of the car, BUT if they inflate the Final price, you might get an overpriced car at lease end. Also, usually this offers are nailing you hard on MSRP (sticker price)..

My sales guy @ dealership says the new engines & shape for 05 are comming around March'05.. so, it's your call though. In the meantime, try to search for a brand new 04 and lease it if you want, they might be clearing those out, but be aware of Sticker Re-Prints of old 04's into 05's.
