Fuel Pump
2005 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro B6
I was hearing a noise under the passenger rear seat. It only would do it on start up and then disappear. I was not sure what it was. I was driving home on the freeway and my car died on me. It was acting like it was out of gas. I had to toe it home. I discovered that that noise was my fuel pump going out on me. I installed a new fuel pump. The car started right up. it ran for like 10 minutes then died. I found out my fuel pump fuse was blown. I then put a new fuse in and blown again. The fuse will blow with the turn of the key. I unplug my fuel pump and it does not blow. I have replaced the fuel filter and tested my fuel pump relay which is good. I hooked the new fuel pump straight to power and it is pumping fuel. I have checked all wiring and can find no short. I did a scan with Ross-Tech vag com and I am not getting and fault cods. I am stumped can anyone help me out.
