FOB no longer works after being on the washer and dryer. Can I buy a used FOB and reprogram?

FOB no longer works after being on the washer and dryer. Can I buy a used FOB and reprogram?
The car still starts but the FOB doesnt work. I tested and the FOB batter is good and the circuitry looks clean so I think the internals are busted.
The FOB/Blade that stopped working is my ONLY key. Do I need 2 keys to program the FOB?
Can I buy a used FOB like this one on ebay?

BTW I have VAGCOM and IMMO3 on my 02 a4 B6

I have an extra FOB to my car...still haven't had it programmed to my car.
Has to be done via the dealer and that means a stupid amt of money for a dang key...so it sits in my car!
