Flik Wasp 46 lbs vs. 40lb stock 16" rim/tire
Figured I'd document the 46lb weight of the mounted and balanced 18"x7.5" flik wasps (silver) with Toyo T1-S tires in 235/40/18 size. EdgeRacing has the rim weight at 22lbs, and the tires at 22.9lbs. Close enough.
The stock brand new 16" Audi 3.0 rim with 215/55/16 with P6 Pirelli all seasons were 40lbs (despite whatever the Audi spec is for the rim weight, the scale doesn't lie).
Take that into account for those that have a high priority on weight of tires/rims.

i weighed my wasps when i got them,
and i got 20.7lbs, which is VERY good for a 18" rim
and i got 23.2lbs for my t-1s 235/40/18
making the setup around 44lbs
unfortenetly i did not get a chance to weigh the rim with the tire mounted on it.

I have the flik wasp rims with falkens. My only complaint is that they aren't wide enough.
I've already taken them off and put back on the stock 17's. I'm thinking about selling the flik's now. If I get something else, it will definitely be wider.

Why would you want a wider rim if 235 wide tires fit on them?
I'm assuming the widest tire you'd want is a 235 since that seems to be the most common max width I see.
I'm not sure what an 8" or 8.5" rim would buy you unless you wanted to run wider tires than 235.
