Default IF you have a Cold Air intake, that heat shield won't really do much good. The stock air box

is better.

Default you are absolutely correct of the flow of a stock airbox...

in as much as on the b6 no aftermarket solution has done better flow-wise...but the stock heat shield is weak...and more shielding could certaihnly never hurt.

im running the EVOMS hot-air intake and even on HOT days the shield works so well that after repeated beatings the intake manifold is still just warm to the touch, and the intake filter element is cool to the touch....which is awesome coinsidering that the intake sits about 1ft away from the turbo.

well.. some people don't know how to deal with ebay..

i've been using ebay from 1999 and never had a problem. received in perfect condition and worked great..
