Super common. Get some really good contact cleaner, iI have some stuff that has gold in it. Under the seat find the yellow airbag connector its got a tricky sort of lock, remove it, spray your contact cleaner in, wait a minute, reconnect it on and off like 5 or 6 times to make sure any oxidation on the connections gone, then clear the code. Works EVERY time so far for this code driver or passenger seat in our shop. Same for VW cars too. Just some oxidation builds up and sets that fault. There are TSB's to eleminate to connector, but i find just spraying contact cleaner works perfect.

Will let you know tomorrow.* Need to get the codes cleared. I couldn't find the contact cleaner so I just eliminated the connectors and hard wired (soldered) the airbag wires back together.* Took me about an hour and a half.*Its also a great opportunity to shampoo carpets if you have a wet vac.

Soo. I got the codes cleared after wiring the air bag wires back together and guess what?! No airbag light anymore! I've only driven a couple miles after getting them cleared but last time I had them cleared they came back right away. So fingers are crossed.
