driver door bose speaker cackle sound during talk
my driver's door bose mid driver has been making a bit of a feedback or cackling noise during talking. it was really doing it most when it was cold. i took the door off and measured the nominal resistance which was 2.5 ohms. i assume that the speaker is not blown, and that the tweeter isn't either.
diagnosticator posted in another thread:
"The speakers are known to have this problem due to excessive grease in the door jamb harness connector, the fix is to wash out the grease using a spray solvent like QD contact cleaner."
does anyone have any other ideas what it could be? or, could you please specify where the 'door jame harness' connector is located? this leads me to believe that it is right inside the rubber connector underneath the door hinge.

UPDATE: I checked the wiring harness, and found a purple wire that was disconnected
I reconnected this wire to the disconnected end of the purple wire within the wire loom.
Everything seemed fine, but this caused my door to not lock or unlock!
So, do NOT reconnect the purple wire.
In my situation, the problem ended up being...the wiring harness was not pushed in far enough into the female part of the wiring harness housed in the car frame.
