Default question regarding ABS ESP and BRAKE ?

today it started raining so i turned on the lights and wipers and all of a sudden all three of those components started coming up on the dash board. the esp and abs stayed lit while the brake light was flashing ? whats the problem ? my pops thinks is the aftermarket rims i bought but i mean they are only 18's and the stock were 17'' i dont think its the rims. maybe i need to go get my brakes replaced cause who knows how long ago was the car serviced before i bought it ??? please advise

Default Heh. My dad always blames it on mods whenever stuff breaks on my car. It's not the wheels.

Scan the car for codes.

I've had those two lights twice during the winter, but they went away the next time I started up the car. Haven't seen them since.

Default I've had both ABS and ESP lights on. They would go away after a shutdown/restart cycle.

Eventually it started happening more frequently and the engine would cut out at times. Turned out to be a faulty brake switch.

Default Just weird that he would have a brake light switch and low brake fluid warnings simultaneously....

after turning on the wipers.

Default the lights were beeping ......

i went to my mechanic and he ran the ecu and told me the abs module might be malfunctioning ..he told me to go to the dealer and have it replaced under warrant cause he said it will cost atleast 900 if i was to get it from him ...also i got aftermarket wheels . he told me to switch those up to stock so they dont assume the wheels had anything to do with it

Default Trust me, there's no way in hell it's related to the wheels.

Not only that, but during the two instances when I had the ESP and brake light going I was running OEM 17's.
