Daytime Running Lights for Audi A4 B6
This might be an odd question to ask here, but I'm just wondering if anyone know how to mod DRL for a 2003 Audi A4. I have to move to Canada soon and I heard that DRL is mandatory up there. Would like to get it done before I ship the car out. If anyone knows, please kindly let me know. Thanks!!

I live in Canada and imported my B6 A4 last year. I had to get DRLs going and it couldn't have been easier-you can do it yourself using a VAG-COM cable and the appropriate software (check www.ross-tech.com for both) or take it to the stealership and have them do it. Shouldn't cost more than $50. To be clear, DRLs can be enabled without any hardware modifications whatsoever.
BTW, before 10 other people rip into you for it, next time use the forum search function before asking a question that's been asked and answered many times in the Audi forums...
cheers!

Moved the car to Canada as well. Cost "could" be free if you know someone with a VAG-COM and do a simple search on VAG owners. It's a simple coding modification to change the country to Canada. That way not only does the DRL function, you also change the odometer to Kilometers.
Check my sig for the Canada code as well as other mods while you're at it.

Understand that to get DRL (either fogs as DRLs or headlights on reduced power) it's a simple vag com code.
Got a vagcom cable, finally got it to communicate, On the 09 - Cent Electric Module, the Soft Coding is 00003 (guess the 3 pertaining to US).
Tried recoding it to 00004 (for Canada) doesn't change it but does change it 00001 for rest of the world. But this did not change anything on the lights ?
Anyone please help
