Default Brake question for 3.0 Tiptronic owners who drove a B7

I'm happy with my 3.0 and I'm not the racing kind of driver either but yesterday I got to drive a B7 2.0T and was suprised how much different its brakes were. I got used to my brakes and they are fine most of the time but comparing them now I think I neither need an upgrade or there is something wrong. The B7 had about 5k, my 3.0 is at 21k, all original, if that matters.

Have any of you 3.0 owners driven a B7 2.0? Any comments about the brakes? And how did you like the Diesel sound of the 2.0T engine at idle?

B7A4 are the same calipers as the B6/B7S4 w/ smaller rotors, but still bigger than the B6A4 3.0l.

I know that from the 1.8T posts here but I thought the 3.0 Tip brakes were bigger

288mm rotors for 1.8T, 312mm rotors for 3.0. But the calipers are exactly the same on both cars.

Default they are, but like i said below, the B7A4 1.8T are now bigger than the B6A4 3.0l.

you can always grab a set of used B6S4 of B7 calipers, it's a direct bolt on... some of us have already... ;o)

Default So for the calipers it is B7 2.0T = B6 S4 > B6 3.0 > B6 1.8T

If I would go B6 S4, do I need new rotors or just calipers and pads?
