Battery Replacement - Vent Tube
I was wondering if someone could help me out.
I replaced the battery in my A4.
The new battery is different from the old battery. It does not have the same connection for the vent tube. (See pictures.)
There appears to be a white cap on the side of the battery. I'm not sure how to remove it.
Does anyone know if I have to attach the vent tube? Do I remove the white cap and jerry rig some kind of connection? Or can I just leave it disconnected?
Thanks.

Changed batteries,...how important is that little tube thing that goes into the side of the battery?
